While a Davante Adams trade to the 49ers seems unlikely, general manager John Lynch won’t rule out the possibility.

“We love our team. Davante is a hell of a player,” Lynch said Friday morning KNBR’s “Murph & Marcus.” “One thing we’ve shown is we’re always looking, we’re never afraid to look and see what’s there. We’re never afraid to pull the trigger. But coming into this year, we feel our roster is in a good place.

“We’ve endured some injuries, but we never say never. It has to work. It has to work for both parties, but it has to work for us. I won’t comment on any particular player, but right now we’re like where our roster is.”

Adams wants out of Las Vegas after two seasons with the Raiders, who have told teams they are willing to trade Adams, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.

All-Pro receiver A Schefter wants to reunite with one of his former NFL quarterbacks — Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets or Derek Carr of the New Orleans Saints.

But Adams, 31, is open to other places, too. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys and 49ers are all teams that have either inquired about the six-time Pro Bowl receiver or would be happy to land Adams. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported On Thursday, Adams’ thinking was reported, citing sources.
