Only 39 points are shared Caitlin Clark From women's college basketball history.
Clark is within manageable distance (especially for him) of breaking Kelsey Blum's all-time scoring record. She should do so road against NebraskaHe poured in 38 points during a 92-73 win on January 27. That started the current four-game winning streak. No. 2 Iowa (22-2).
Plum, who starred in Washington from 2013-17, surpassed Jackie Stiles' previous record of 3,393 points in 2017. Game of the Season 2016-17.

Halftime: Caitlin Clarke says it's time to step up the energy
Caitlin Clark knows what it takes for Iowa to win this game.
The Hokies had their way with Nebraska early, only for the Huskers to fight their way back. They trailed by four points, 39-35, going into the half.
“We didn't play with enough energy,” Clark said as he left the court. “I think we need to pick up our energy a little bit.” Iowa likes to run, and Nebraska has had success slowing the game down. Clark said he thinks if Iowa pushes the tempo more and improves its ball movement, the game will be more in Hockey's favor.
Halftime: Iowa 39, Nebraska 35
Caitlin Clark Watch: Record-breaking 22 points
Caitlin Clark isn't the only shooter in this game.
Nebraska's Jay Shelley made sure Clark wasn't distracted, connecting on 3-of-5 attempts from long range to lead Nebraska with 11 points and keep the Huskers within striking distance. Nebraska and Iowa both hit four 3s.
But again, turnovers are the difference, as Iowa converted eight Nebraska turnovers into 12 points. Nebraska managed just five points off seven Iowa turnovers.
But there are plenty of positive signs for Nebraska in the first half. The Huskers outscored Iowa's bench 13-2, won the rebounding battle 21-20, and they've held Iowa to the line just three times. If they can keep Clark in check in the second half — he has 17 points but 15 shots — they can pull off the upset.
Caitlin Clark became the sixth woman to record 1,000 assists
One (another) milestone by Caitlin Clarke!
not at all That One. But something remarkable. With a bounce pass to Kate Martin, Clark recorded her 1,000th career assist. She is only the sixth player in NCAA women's basketball to reach that goal.
Clarke's scoring gets the most attention. Obviously. With 17 points so far against Nebraska, she needs 22 to pass Kelsey Plum as the all-time scoring leader in women's basketball. But she is very dangerous because not only does she create her own shot, but she also sets up her teammates.
His five assists against the Huskers — so far — came three days after scoring 15 against Penn State.
Brent Clark is one proud dad
Every game Caitlin Clark plays, whether at home or on the road an event. Her dad wants every player's games to be like that.
Brent Clark told Fox Sports sideline reporter Alison Williams during the second quarter that it was “very humbling” to see all the fans lined up hours before to see his daughter. But attention is needed, he said.
“This is how every sporting event should be,” Brent Clark said. “Women's basketball is awesome.”
4:27, 2Q: Iowa 28, Nebraska 24
Caitlin Clark Watch: Record-breaking 29 points.
Nebraska seems eager to make it tough for Clark today. Although Clarke hit a 3 to give her 10 points, the Huskers got physical with her any time she drove the lane, and they beat her as she missed some easy looks at the rim (and in typical Clarke fashion, let the officials know she wasn't happy about her contact).
Meanwhile, Hannah Stulke continues her hot streak for Iowa, already scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting. She also had three rebounds.
Nebraska's effort 'not good enough'
Despite only trailing by three after the first quarter, Nebraska coach Amy Williams said her team's defensive effort “wasn't good enough.” The problem, Williams said, is that Iowa gets too many touches in the paint. Credit Clerk with it. As the Huskers pinched her outside, she fed inside scorers Hannah Stulke and Sydney Affolder.
1Q result: Iowa 16, Nebraska 13
Caitlin Clark Watch: Record-breaking 32 points.
Not a bad quarter from Nebraska, even though Iowa turned four Cornhusker turnovers into six points, but Nebraska committed none of Iowa's three turnovers. Iowa also dominates in the paint, 12-4. It's a trend that continues to plague Nebraska's Markowski with foul trouble. Markowski has a team-high four points and five rebounds, so Nebraska is going to miss her on both ends.
The Nebraska starter picked up a second foul (too) early
Alas. Nebraska's Alexis Markowski picked up her second foul with almost five minutes left in the first quarter. Upsetting Iowa, even at home, will always be a tall order for the Huskers. Iowa has won its last nine against Nebraska, and the Huskers have yet to beat a top-25 team this season, let alone No. 2 in the nation. But to have any shot, Nebraska needs a big game from Markowski, who is averaging a double-double. It will be difficult if she has to spend a long time on the bench.
4:49, 1Q: Iowa 9, Nebraska 4
First, an update everyone will notice: Caitlin Clark is now just 34 points away from breaking the record.
She already had five points after a 3 (of course) and a nifty layup.
Many thought he would stop short of breaking the record Thursday at home against Michigan — diehard hockey fans will certainly appreciate it — but Clark always had his way with Nebraska. It can be hard to turn it off.
