Kaitlyn Clark’s name was left off the list of participants for the 2024 WNBA All-Star 3-Point Contest, shocking WNBA fans. On Friday, the Fever rookie explained that he was invited to compete, but ultimately decided to take some time off in favor of the All-Star Game.

“I’ve been playing basketball for a year,” Clark said. “Showing a rack and shooting is not an easy thing. It’s not something I’ve done before. It’s not something I’ve had a lot of time to practice. I’m helping my team win. I’ll have plenty of opportunities to do that at some point while enjoying this break.

Why Kaitlyn Clark Wasn’t in the 3-Point Contest During WNBA All-Star Weekend

It’s been a long grind for Clarke this year. The 22-year-old finished his college career at Iowa in April, where he became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA TV. I made history and led the Hawkeyes to the NCAA title game. Clark was selected with the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft by the Fever on April 15 and made her WNBA debut a month later in May.
