Google’s new Pixel Watch 3 comes with a nice offer for LTE buyers, with each model getting two years of free LTE data.
Through the Google Store, Pixel Watch 3 buyers can get two years of free LTE data for their smartwatch at no extra cost. This is included in the LTE model’s $100 price increase.
Google offers this service for the 41mm and 45mm Pixel Watch 3 models over Google Fi Wireless. It doesn’t support voice calls, but you can sync Google Messages from your other device even if you’re not a Google Fi subscriber. It doesn’t appear to be a direct pre-order offer, specifically, Google says it’s valid “when posted” in-store. In previous models, Google has temporarily offered the same offer, but it is available on launch for the first time.
Google explains:
Get 2 years of data for your smartwatch with us when you buy any Pixel Watch 3 (4G LTE). Data from Google Fi Wireless to power your messaging, navigation and music on the go. A Google Fi wireless data offer with the purchase of Pixel Watch 3 41mm with 4G LTE or Pixel Watch 3 45mm with 4G LTE. Send text messages at no additional cost, but requires an active wireless phone plan.
This offer is US-only and applies only to the person who first sets up the device. Offer ends if sold to someone else. That also goes away if you sign up for another carrier’s service plan only Valid from Google Store.
Data is also 1 GB per month (only 500 MB at full speed, rest is limited to 256 kbps).
The Pixel Watch 3 is available for pre-order now with LTE models starting at $449.
