Washington — Vice President Kamala Harris made her final argument against former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night, the same platform where she encouraged her supporters to “fight like hell” on Jan. 6, 2021. “We know who Donald Trump is,” Harris said. “The man who stood in this place nearly four years ago and sent armed mobs into the Capitol of the United States to defeat the will of the people in a free and fair election, an election he knew he had lost.”
“America, we know what Donald Trump has in mind. More chaos. More division. More policies that help the people at the top and hurt everyone else. I’m offering a different path. I’m asking for your vote,” he said.
Harris’ speech before a large crowd on the Oval near the White House was intended to draw a contrast between his vision for the country and Trump’s as he seeks to win over undecided voters. A week before election day.
He called his Republican rival “unstable”, “obsessed with revenge”, “consumed by grievances” and “out for unmitigated power”. Trump will return to the White House with a “list of enemies,” he said, while he “walks in with a to-do list.”

“We need to stop pointing fingers and start locking arms. It’s time to turn the page on drama and conflict, fear and division. It’s time for a new generation of leadership in America,” he said. “I stand ready to provide that leadership as the next president of the United States.”
Harris promised to make life better for Americans through “common sense solutions” and “the search for common ground.”
“I promise to listen to experts, people who are affected by my decisions, and people who disagree with me. Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t trust people who disagree with me. the enemy. He wants to imprison them. I give them a seat at my table,” she said.
Previewing the speech, Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley said the Dillon ellipses were chosen because “we hope to help crystallize the choice in this election.”

“We know a lot of these undecided voters, they’re exhausted,” he said. “They’re certainly frustrated by the state of the political system, which is really limited under Donald Trump and divided.”
