Brazilian rocker Ayres Sasaki dies aged 35 after being electrocuted during a live performance

Brazilian singer Ayres Sasaki was electrocuted during a live performance.

The tragic incident took place on July 13 at Solar Hotel in Sinopolis when a wet crowd member came on stage and hugged the 35-year-old musician.

Contact between Sasaki and the fan shook a nearby cable, leading to a fatal electric shock. The Sun reported.

The feeling of singing died instantly. He has a wife Mariana whom he married only 11 months ago.

The full extent of the fan’s injuries has not been reported, and it’s unclear why they were wet in the first place.

Salinopolis police have launched an investigation and officials for the Solar Hotel say they are cooperating with authorities.

In a post on Instagram, the hotel added: “We are fully committed to providing support to the Sasaki family… We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperate with the competent authorities for a proper clarification of the events.”

Meanwhile, tributes have been paid to the actor.

Singer Adriano Freitas said: “We were friends beyond music in everyday life. A super attractive guy, his talent is incredible. A great friend, very family-oriented, attentive to those who appreciate his friendship and his work.

Comedian Nato Almeida said the musician will be remembered for his off-stage grace as much as his on-stage prowess.

“What definitely stands out about Sasaki is his good heart, so dignified,” he said. “I think that’s going to be a lasting mark that he leaves behind.”
