Indiana Fever phenom Kaitlyn Clark is rewriting the WNBA record books.
Clark set the WNBA single-season assist record on Friday night Recorded his 317th hit of the season Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun broke the streak she set last season against the Las Vegas Aces.
With five minutes to go, Clark knocked down an inbounds pass to a charging Kelsey Mitchell, who drove to the hoop and sank a layup, giving her five assists on the night.

Clark, who scored all 18 of his points in the second half, finished with eight rebounds and nine assists as Las Vegas beat Indiana. 78-74.
The feat comes less than two months after he set the single-game assist record (19) in a loss to the Dallas Wings. Clark broke the rookie (Dicha Beniceiro 225 in 1998) and owner (Erica Wheeler 201 in 2023) records earlier this year.
Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft out of Iowa, is averaging 19.1 points and a league-high 8.4 assists. She also averaged 5.8 rebounds.
