Michael Strahan will not return to hosting “Good Morning America” this week after a nearly two-week hiatus.
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week because he is dealing with some personal family matters,” an ABC spokesperson told USA Today in a statement.
The spokesman added: “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
Strahan, 51, died Oct. Not on “GMA” since 26. “Nightline” co-host Juju Chang and “World News Tonight” anchor Lynsey Davis have filled in for Strahan during his personal time off.

Strahan added: “Another favorite part is that it changes. It’s never the same. There aren’t two days where you’re like, ‘Oh, the same news.’ … That enjoyment makes me more engaged because I understand that the job can change at the drop of a hat.” “
As for his role at Fox, Strahan called it “flat-out fun.”
