Suspect dead after New Hampshire state hospital shooting, officials say situation ‘contained’

A shooting occurred Friday afternoon at New Hampshire Hospital in Concord. New Hampshire State Police said several victims were injured. The hospital is one of several buildings on a sprawling campus that includes the Concord District. Court, New Hampshire Department of Labor, Department of Revenue Administration and Employment Security. WMUR’s Adam Sexton says the entire area appears to be on lockdown as state police move through the hospital building. “This afternoon, an incident occurred at a New Hampshire hospital that has been contained,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said in a written statement. “As the compound was destroyed, the suspect was dead while the scene was active.” “The government mobilized immediately and first responders and law enforcement are on the scene,” Sununu said. “We will provide as many details as possible as this situation unfolds.” No additional information was immediately available.

“This afternoon, an incident occurred at a New Hampshire hospital that has been contained,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said in a written statement. “While the scene remains active as the compound is cleared, the suspect is dead.”

“The government mobilized immediately and first responders and law enforcement are on the scene,” Sununu said. “We will provide as many details as possible as this situation unfolds.”
